Roger was one of the kindest, generous and quick-witted people I’ve known. His patience and dedication knew no bounds. Every conversation you had with Roger would make you feel more courageous about reporting the truth, and better about the world. An army of corporate lawyers were no match for Roger Law. He was more important to investigative journalism in this country than anyone I can think of. His sharp mind and sage advice were unrivalled. I hope he knew how much we loved, admired and appreciated him. I struggle to see how we will ever fill the hole left in the BBC by Roger’s death. But I know it will forever be a better place because he was in it.
